Crayola Glow Station Lets Kids Create with Light

Kids across America will be pulling down the shades and turning off the lights to create drawings in the dark with a whole new medium - light! With this new Crayola Glow Station, kids' creativity can shine in bright new ways as they "paint" with light on the glowing poster-sized canvas. Using a light wand, kids can draw or trace space - and animal-themed stencils and stamp out-of-this-world star bursts to create cool scenes. They can also make cool shadow prints by quickly moving the light wand over hands, leaves or any object that can fit on the glow-in-the-dark surface. The possibilities are infinite as outer space!

The canvas starts to glow when the lights go out, and drawings stay illuminated for approximately 30 seconds before they start to disappear, so the glow-in-the-dark creative fun never ends. To erase the board immediately, just turn on the lights. Since Glow Station is powered only by light and a child's imagination, the activity is completely mess-free and can be used anywhere - hung up on a wall, rolled up to take on a trip, or spread out on the kitchen table or family room floor.

By moving the light wand either on or near the glowing canvas, kids can create glow-in-the-dark art with strokes of light. Stencil sheets create space scenes complete with space shuttles, asteroids and astronauts, or a day at the zoo with gorillas and snakes. The innovative light texture sheets reveal cool textures like spider webs, river rocks and and 3D animal patterns with swift swipes of the light wand. The sky is the limit when kids' imaginations get ignited and they experiment with layering texture sheets with stencil sheets to give their drawings an even more lifelike look.

Kids can draw images by pressing the innovative light wand directly onto the glowing canvas or create funky shadow prints by placing an object on the canvas and waving the light wand above it.

The Glow Station also features a plain acetate sheet and black dry-erase marker that serves as a blank, reusable canvas for transferring original works of art onto the glow board. To keep parents content and kids creating, the Glow Station is equipped with a compartment for the light wand and a crystal tip, a pocket for smaller stencils and hanging posts for larger onesm so all the Glow Station accessories stay organized and in one place.
