Smithsonian Institution - Dig That Dinosaur
It's an exciting search and memory game to uncover the hidden dinosaur bones. Players will learn fun facts about dinosaurs while they test their memory as they dig up dinosaur bones just like a real paleontologist. Each player picks the dinosaur that they want to find on their dig from the four dinosaur cards that include facts about their dinosaur. All of the missing pieces cards are placed facedown on the digging grid with the grid cards placed face up on top of them. Each player takes turns using the digging tool to guess which grid card has a piece of their dinosaur underneath. Players can slow their opponents down with snake stoppers cards which keep one grid piece out of play until their next turn. The first person to dig up their whole dinosaur wins. Dig That Dinosaur is the adventure game where you go on an excavation and try to be the first player to find all six parts of your dinosaur's skeleton. Select the board of the dinosaur you want to dig for and the fun begins. Using the excavation tool, turn up any two cards on the game board. Now peek at the cards that are underneath. If a card shows bones to your dinosaur, place it under your board. If not, cover it back up for the other players to find. Finding a ruby gives you an extra turn but uncovering a snake might help your opponent. In addition to sharpening memory skills Dig That Dinosaur features real dinosaur facts. It's a great way to have fun and learn about these great prehistoric creatures. Each Dig That Dinosaur Game comes complete with:
