You're Mean Lily Jean

Carly always played with her big sister, Sandy.  They played dragons and knights.  They played explorers and pirates.  They played mountain climbers and astronauts.

Then Lily Jean moved in next door.

Carly and Sandy are happy to have a new friend join their games.  But Lily Jean changes things She decides they`ll play house and she orders Carly to be the baby.  When they play king and queen, she tells Carly to bark - King Lily Jean demands a royal dog!

Tired of being bossed around, Carly comes up with a way to teach Lily Jean a lesson.  With Sandy`s help can she turn a bully into a friend?

About the Authors

Frieda Wishinsky loves to write books because it’s fun making stories up and not getting in trouble. She likes deciding on her own schedule. Frieda loves traveling for research and for presentations in schools, libraries and conferences. She writes picture books, chapters books, novels and non-fiction. She likes to write in a variety of genres and try something new. But she especially loves to write picture books.

AKady MacDonald Denton is an author and illustrator of books for children.  Kady works in an old tall yellow brick house that overlooks the Otonabee River in Peterborough, Ontario. Her studio is in the attic. Her husband works on the middle floor. Their cat goes back and forth. Her books have won awards, are translated into many languages and are read by children around the world.
