Nanovor Nanoscope
In Nanovor, players CONNECT, COLLECT and BATTLE nanoscopic monsters called Nanovor. Nanovor are tiny nanoscopic monsters that have lived and battled billions of years ago on a still-molten Earth, long before any other species. As the Earth cooled and the atmosphere transformed to oxygen, the silicon-based Nanovor slipped into deep hibernation for billions of years, leaving the planet to the dinosaurs, and later humans. It was not until the 1960s, when the first silicon-based semiconductors were created, that the Nanovor were awakened but remained undiscovered. Fast-forward four decades when Lucas Nelson, a Hanover High student, accidently discovers the Nanovor living inside his computer while looking for dust mites. With the help of his ex-hacker science teacher Doc Zap, he creates this device - the Nanoscope - that allows him and his friends to observe and control the Nanovor in battle. Lucas quickly discovers that the Nanovor must fight to stay alive, and before long a new sport is born. Nanovor represents the next generation of connected toys for kids - allowing kids to play with their friends online and off. Unlike other toys, their online play is enhanced by their offline accomplishments, and vice versa. The Online Battle Game allows kids to battle online, buy digital booster packs, evolve the nanovor into new monsters, trade with friends, and more. Then, they can download their nanovor collection onto their Nanoscope to battle friends face-to-face on the playground, on the bus, or anywhere else they want. They can play solo to make their nanovor stronger, faster, and more robust. The Nanovor adventure begins with the Online Battle Game at Nanovor.com. Players immediately jump into battle with a few Nanovor, but can earn more quickly as they work through the free tutorial and introductory quests. With each online battle or player interaction, players will see more cool Nanovor in battle. Next, they will begin evolving their own collections by buying digital booster packs online to get Nanovor and "energy modulators" (or "EMS"). The EMs allow players to evolve their nanovor into new, more powerful monsters, such as evolving a Tank Walker 1.0 into an Tank Walker 2.0. Other evolutions yield entirely new creatures, turning an Electropod 1.0 into an Electrobull 1.0. The online Trading Game allows players to trade with one another. In addition, the Nanovor website offers encyclopedic information on every nanovor, and an ongoing animated series about the kids who first discovered them. Taking nanovor into battle online against friends and players around the world is at the heart of the Nanovor experience, but there is a whole lot more! The handheld Nanoscope device lets players download their Nanovor collection and take their battles to the street (or school, or the bus, or the park). To begin the Nanoscope battle experience, players simply connect two Nanoscopes together and then let the Nanovor do the rest! During each turn a player chooses the attack his/her Nanovor will make, then watches the results play out on the computer or Nanoscope screen. The player with the last Nanovor standing is the winner, so although damage attacks will work, strategic attacks can be more powerful and will increase a players chances of victory. Most Nanovor allow for other attacks that help players spring new strategies and surprises on opponents, such as the spike combos where one Nanovor uses a special attack that powers up the attacks of other Nanovor. A swarm of only four to six Nanovor are required to play, but even that is enough to offer near limitless gameplay possibilities. Single-player mini-games and solo battles are also available on the Nanoscope, which offers players to practice their skills in dozens of solo battle challenges. Nanovor is perfect for kids looking for a way to pass 15 minutes with a fun, colorful battle, and for more serious players looking for a new, deep strategy game. Whether simply battling Nanovor or diving into its depths, players are rewarded with a variety of cool monsters and an incredible array of animations - particularly the ways that Nanorovor get knocked out of battle: zapped into ashes, splattered into goo, peeled like a banana, and more. Of course, it's all in good fun - as soon as the battle's over, Nanovor leaps back to life and ready for the next battle. Recommended for ages seven years and older.
